The C30 is supposed to be here in April! I check the site periodically to see if they have a configurator to get an idea on price but no such luck so far.

I think the C30 is only avail in FWD

And i've been waiting to find the price for a while now. I'm really curious.

It should be out in may, there will be one at the auto show in march so if you don't find a price before hand then definately there.

heres what I did at work, put on the volvo factory body kit on our C30. Then I decided that it would be good to put on some gunmetal peggys. Needs to be lower but I like it.



also because people were wondering, base price is $25k

Unfortunately thats the only picture of the car. I fought with the camera to take that one picture because the battery was completely dead. Those rims aren't on the car anymore, that was just something I did to see if it would look awesome...which it did. After that I had to put the stock rims back on so oh well.

I talked to my boss and he really liked it, one of our techs actually asked...is that a spy photo or something? So I thought it was funny, and I asked him if we could do that with the car...but he wont let me because the hubs on the c30, s40, v50's are smaller then on the s60s and up. So the rims are only lug-centric...kinda anti-volvo really (not as safe). Sure we could get some hub-centric rings done up but since it wouldn't be an OEM volvo item you couldn't put it on the showroom. Oh well....I guess i'll have to wait until I own one in 20 years or something.

Update!!!! We have in the showroom right now a brand new 2007 Red C30 with a T5 and 6 speed manual (and a red bodykit). I highly suggest taking a peek at it, its amazing!

Well I went and checked it out today (couldn't resist). I think it's even hotter in person! The one in the showroom is a T5 with 18" wheels (which i'm not sure it's suppost to come with) sport package and audio package.

The interior is basically the same as our V50 so that was nothing new but man it looks good!! I think it's kind of cool that you can order the car in multiple colours and can make the body kit one of several different colours. This one is Red with matching kit but the black one that was posted above was parked outside and looked like black with dark grey kit, looked good! Also, the headlights are different (not sure if the whole line will be different for this year or if it's just the C30). They have a thick dark outline which makes the front of the car look WAY meaner.

One thing is I think for any of the line (C30, V50, S40) to be taken more seriously as a sports car they need better seats. There is almost no bolstering in them. Something along the lines of the R seats would be much better (which are some of the nicest seats i've ever sat in).

Anyway, my major dissapointment is that it's priced higher than the competition. The one in the showroom was about 43,000 with the options and taxes, BUT i'm sure with the lower interest rate it would come out close to a GTI.

Anyway, all that to say is, it's hot, I freaking LOVE it.
