V70 intermittent no start

any volvo gurus out there? i need to pick your brain a little. this forum doesn't seem to have a lot of activity anymore so heres along shot.

12/99 v70 with 2.5 non turbo engine. automatic trans. i'm not gonna type out the whole problem so if someone out there who knows volvos could chime in....

Intermittent no start as in it cranks and doesn't catch? Or doesn't crank at all?
