Volvo and Polestar Performance have unveiled the new V40 Carbon.
Based on the V40 R-Design, the V40 Carbon features a carbon fiber roof, carbon fiber mirror caps and unique 19-inch alloy wheels. The model also features black accents and black tailpipes.
Interior changes are relatively limited but the special edition has carbon fiber sill plates and red seat belts - among other things.
Under the hood, two engines will be available. The T5 has tuned to produce 253 PS (186 kW) and 400 Nm (294 lb-ft) of torque which is an increase of 25 PS (18 kW) and 50 Nm (36 lb-ft). Likewise, the D4 engine develops 200 PS (147 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 16 PS (11 kW) and 40 Nm (29 lb-ft).
Production will be limited to 343 units and the model will be available in France, Finland, Japan, Sweden and the Netherlands.
