  • Volvo S60 Cross Country

Volvo's rather intriguing S60 Cross Country is showcased these days in Detroit for the 2015 North American International Auto Show.

The first model to wear the Cross Country badge was the V70 back in 1997 and over the years Volvo applied this treatment on several wagons in its portfolio. Now, the Swedish marque is expanding the Cross Country offerings with the S60 sedan which compared to the regular version has a 2.5 inch (65mm) increased ride height to better tackle bumpy roads.

Aside from the higher ground clearance, the S60 Cross Country can also be visually distinguished by a slightly more rugged design and 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels specifically designed for this model and shod in high-profile tires. Depending on the market, Volvo plans to offer the model with both
AWD and FWD setups teamed up with T5 and D4 engines.

Sales of the S60 Cross Country will commence this summer but Volvo warns us availability will be limited.
