I'm glad they're finally making Polestar Volvos for sale! Especially the V60, it looks awesome. I just wish these were as hardcore as that S60 Polestar Concept Turbo-nutter thing was.

I spoke with Valentine this morning about the V60 Polestar. Needless to say, they didn't really have any idea what I was talking about and tried to sell me a red V60R Platinum series on pre-order. This reminds me of EVERY single experience I have had with that dealership.

I spoke with Valentine this morning about the V60 Polestar. Needless to say, they didn't really have any idea what I was talking about and tried to sell me a red V60R Platinum series on pre-order. This reminds me of EVERY single experience I have had with that dealership.

The car was only released the day prior, it's rare for employees to be as passionate about the product as the car crazed public is. That being said, I would still expect them to know, it's pretty big news.

This is the very reason I have been trying to get into auto sales over here, there is indeed a lack of knowledge and passion with a lot of sales people.

Interesting that it's 6-cyl but only 350hp. Undertuned.

That 6cyl is basically tapped out at 325. Takes a ton of modification to get more out of it.

Yeah, AFAIK, the only engine mods are intercooler and a different turbo. Polestar doesn't seem to want to tell us which turbo it is, other than it's a Borg-Warner. For all we know, it may not be any larger than stock. For the 508HP concept, they used a Garrett, which I would have to assume is massive. Either way, 4.9 secs to 60 is pretty decent for a car of that weight.

To be fair, the 508HP ~450lb/ft beast did have a fair amount of mods. FWIR, modified manifold, head, rods new exhaust, huge turbo, etc. 0-60 in 3.9 secs which is only .2 slower than an M5. Seems to me like 350 is probably the limit on stock internals.

You can buy a stock T6 and get the Polestar tune to 325 (or just buy an R-Design that has the tune from the factory), and then get a K-Pax exhaust and you're at 340.

For my 5cyl, I'm able to get from 227 to 265 on factory warrantied (albeit pricey) mods (Polestar tune/K-Pax exhaust).
