Mercedes GL 420 Bluetec

Mercedes-Benz will use the upcoming Detroit auto show to reveal its Vision GL 420 Bluetec concept — proof, Mercedes says, that even large, high-performance SUVs can offer economical fuel consumption and extremely low emissions. With a powerful V8 diesel engine that develops 290 hp and 515 lb ft of torque, the anticipated fuel economy is roughly 24 mpg.

Visually, the truck is distinguished by a larger grille, 21-inch wheels, winder fender flares, and custom front and rear aprons. It's not known if Mercedes plans to use the design elements in a production GL-Class Bluetec vehicle, or another GL variant.

The front looks like a MB semi truck. So do you have to buy piss from the dealer with the Bluetec system? or can we just piss in the tank ourselves

to call that a mercedes makes me cringe... any american assembled or designed benzs are called dodge.... that goes for the ML, GL, R, B, and whatever else they f**king come up with!
im sick of these chryslers with mercedes emblems on them... i cant wait till benz goes abck to the old days!
i must say tho the New CLS , E350, and S550 are impressive... id love a new E class...
