1990 Porsche RUF YellowBird CTR C4

So for those who do not know what a YellowBird CTR C4 is. it is a RUF tuned (more like fabricated) 1990 Porsche Carrera 4. My friends dad just purchased this one yesterday and I thought it was so interesting I needed to share.

This specific car had its engine rebuilt in 2006 and restored to RUF spec (previous previous owner installed power windows, seats and A/C; all were removed to return to normal weight) all the work was done by RUF specialists. Twin turbo, horizontal 6 cylinder, AWD, 6 speed manual, apparently once it hits 4k rpm you're gonna need to pucker up haha. There are 29 in the world, only one legally registered to be on the road in North America (this one!). In 1990 it held the fastest time record for the Nurburgring. I presume this was the Yellowbird for sale at Weissach. I think it is a 1989 if the same car.

There was another one a few years back in Calgary, but I believe it was shipped back to Europe.

This is not a 964 (and therefore not AWD and not 6-speed). And I think that's a good thing. I also ogled these in the car magazines when I was a kid...

Leave it to Bakers dad, although i think its a step down from what he usually gets hahah. None the less sweet car, lets hope he keeps it for awhile.
