At launch, the C-class engine lineup will be pared down from the current car’s quartet of gas-fed motors to just two. The outgoing C250, C300, C350, and C63 AMG models give way to the C300 and C400. Whereas last year’s C300 came with a lower-output version of the C350’s V-6, the 2015 C300 gets a turbocharged 2.0-liter four tentatively rated at 235 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The C400 designation is new, and that model gets a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 pumping out 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. Both the C300 and C400 utilize the same seven-speed automatic transmission. Launch models will come exclusively with 4MATIC all-wheel drive, but rear-drive variants eventually will be offered. C-class is claimed to weigh about 220 pounds less than it did last year, despite its larger dimensions. The weight savings are attributed to a higher mix of high-strength steels and aluminum in the body structure, as well as an aluminum hood, roof panel, trunk, and front fenders.
Honestly this is the BEST looking compact sedan I've seen in many years, I've even added the C400 model on my must own car list.
