The 2012 Porsche 911 has been spied more times than we can count, but the first official images have apparently leaked to the web ahead of the car's unveiling at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Instantly recognizable, the model has a familiar front fascia with a redesigned air intake and restyled fog lights. Despite the design déjà vu, there are a number of differences aft of the A-pillar including door-mounted mirrors, a slimmer greenhouse and smaller taillights.
The cabin appears significantly improved with higher quality materials and a design that mimics the Cayenne and Panamera. A quick glance reveals a sloping center console, additional trim and updated switchgear.
As we have previously reported, the entry-level model is slated to adopt a 3.4-liter flat-six engine with 350 PS (257 kW / 345 hp). Moving up the Carrera S will reward drivers with 400 PS (294 kW / 395 hp), while the Turbo is rumored to have an output of approximately 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp).
