Porsche 911 Speedster
Porsche has brought the new 911 Speedster to the Paris motor show.
Even if there's no new information on hand these photos speak for themselves, at least for the Porsche enthusiasts.
Distinguishing the Speedster from the rest of the 911 line is the curvaceous windscreen reminiscent of the 356 Speedster of old, a lowered suspension (by 60 mm) and a double-bubble hardcover for the soft top right behind the two headrests. The Speedster is also 44 mm wider at the rear.
Under the hood is a 3.8 liter flat 6-cylinder producing 408 PS (300 kW) coupled to the PDK transmission - an amping up by 23 PS over the 911 Carrera S.
The Speedster is also detailed by Porsche Exclusive - the luxury sports-car maker's individualization unit. That includes a hand-finished interior in smooth black leather, a checkerboard pattern in the middle of the lower seat (between the legs) and a specialized exterior color called Pure Blue created exclusively for the Speedster.
Also on the outside is a unique aerodynamic set of parts that includes a front apron, rear apron and side skirts.
The model can also be ordered in Carrera White for the same price.
