Funny story. I was looking through google images of 993 C4S's yesterday. I clicked on a small picture of a black C4S and it directed me to a forsale thread on Rennlist from 2005. After reading the thread, I looked at the picture and noticed a small rennlist sticker in the window. I traced it back to the owner from New Jersey and he did indeed sell the car to someone in Edmonton in 2005. What a coincidence! Anyways, here is a picture the previous US owner sent me along with a picture of the certificate of authenticity..
I think the car looks so much better without the tail!

The car doesn’t suffer for lack of the blown engine. It has a 3.6 litre engine kicking out 285bhp, 251 lb ft of torque capable driving it from 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and taking it to a top speed of 172 mph.
Seriously the car is not about all out speed (not that its a dog by any means). But if that was what I was after I would have spent a couple of grand more and bought the 996 turbo thats for sale on here.
I think they wetsand the leather to remove the crease/scratch and then use am airbrush to recolor the area. I had this done on my last 964 due to the inside of the drivers bolster showing a bit of wear. It took the guy probably an hour and the bolster lookd brand new.
How did it hold up after the repair?
What shop did the 964? CR?
