  • Apollo Arrow & N

Reborn specialty marque Apollo has arrived in Geneva with its brand new Arrow which aims to compete with the big names in the supercar territory.

Apollo describes the design as being softer than what we’re used to, but even so the Arrow looks spectacular thanks to a wide and aggressive body featuring a massive wing and a roof scoop. The design’s fluidity is the result of numerous optimizations to achieve greater aerodynamic efficiency as you would come to expect from a supercar.

Its heart and soul is a biturbo 4.0-liter V8 engine (likely sourced from Audi) that pushes out 1,000 horsepower and 1,000 newton meters of torque. All that power is channeled to the road via a sequential seven-speed gearbox working together with a self-locking Torsen differential.

Apollo is targeting a curb weight of less than 2,866 pounds (1,300 kilograms) and says the Arrow will be able to hit 62 mph (100 kph) in only 2.9 seconds. It will need just 8.8 seconds until 124 mph (200 kph) and will continue to accelerate until 223 mph (360 kph.)

The Arrow will ride on large 20-inch front and 21-inch monoblock cast wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires that are stopped efficiently by AP Racing brakes with six-piston calipers. The ride height is manually adjustable (between 40 mm and 120 mm) and there’s also an automatic lift system boosting ground clearance by 40 mm at both axles.

Although it doesn’t look like it, the Apollo Arrow is street legal and at the same time meets all FIA standards, so it can be easily homologated for a variety of racing series.

    Re: Apollo Arrow & N

Apollo is creating a lot of buzz in Geneva as aside from the brand new Arrow, the niche manufacturer also has a second model, the Apollo N.

It was four years ago when Apollo introduced the Apollo Enraged special edition and now the revived automaker is releasing a direct replacement. If you remember that one, the new N model will look very familiar as it retains most of the aggressive body, albeit with some changes to that huge rear wing.

Motivation is provided by a biturbo 4.2-liter V8 engine pushing out 700 horsepower (515 kilowatts) at 6,000 rpm and 649 pound-feet (880 newton meters) of torque from 4,000 rpm. It’s enough muscle to enable the Apollo N sprint to 62 mph (100 kph) from a standstill in three seconds and reach a top speed of 223 mph (360 kph).

Apollo Automobil says the car weighs around 2,645 pounds (1,200 kilograms) and has an “unbeatably low” center of gravity. Power transfer to the road is achieved thanks to a sequential seven-speed gearbox working together with a self-locking Torsen differential.

As standard the car gets aluminum cast wheels measuring 19 inches on the front axle and 20 inches at the back and paired with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Stopping power comes from ventilated AP Racing brake discs with six-piston calipers and a Bosch ABS system.

There’s also nose lift system which provides 40 mm extra ground clearance while the gullwing doors have been carried over from the Enraged.

Just like the Wing, the Apollo N is street legal and meets all FIA standards, so it can be configured for many racing series.

That white one reminds me of the supercar in Need For Speed 1. Looks awesome!

This is the resurrection of the Gumpert company which originally developed the Gumpert Apollo, which started production in 2005.

Love both of these... the wing supports on the "N" are a little crazy though...
