Well the Aug 6/7 Race weekend was a much better turnout than the last 10+ cars and good racing all the way around
After some diffuser mods and a brand new set of tires i was ready to compete with some of the faster guys or at least try to in a car 15-20 years older than most.
Had some issues with the new tires as one was not holding air initially leading to a short qualifying only 5 laps
switched back over to the old tires and was still somewhat competitive with the mid pack boys.
Helps when everybody is spinning.
After Saturday we felt good about the points race on Sunday afternoon sadly we didn't make it while running 2nd in the race before with the new tires fixed started to lose power out of the corners about 3/4 way thru the race.
Ended up we lost the frost plug out of the motor lost all coolant and warped the head and we where done for the weekend.
Got the lap time down to 1.20.40 faster than this car had ever gone around Race City i was pleased and was thinking i could break the 1.20 barrier my old man said it would be tougher than i thought.
