The Fisker Karma is finally being delivered to customers and company is celebrating by introducing the Surf concept in Frankfurt.
Described as the "world's first electric luxury/sports automobile for an active and eco-friendly lifestyle," the Surf is a five-door shooting brake that previews a production vehicle which will be launched for the 2013 model year.
Power comes a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery which motivates two electric motors that develop 408 PS (300 kW / 402 hp) and 1,330 Nm (981 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 125 mph (201 km/h). Furthermore, Fisker says the concept can travel approximately 50 miles (80 km) on electricity alone. When the battery is depleted, a turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol engine acts as a generator to extend the range an additional 250 miles (402 km).
