Well about a month after the fact but i finally have the pics from race weekend # 1.
Saturday as with all days now in Alberta it was raining and for my first raceweekend this of course scared the **** out of me but as i found out later being down 100HP on most of the guys really helps out in the rain. (Side note don't wear your tinted visor in dark rainy conditions leeds to a lot of o-**** i can't see moments).
Since being down all that power and and apparently being quiet good in the rain i Qualified second.
First Full Race track started to dry which is good but bad when you only have one set of rain tires that are now ruined because of that drying track.
Sadly with the now dry track reality sets in and being down 100HP means being blow away on the straights.
Also apparently for me means i can't drive anymore and decide that parking in the grass would be a good idea.
This leads to a large amount of car cleaning.
And then the not enough intensity talk from my son.
Couple more races on Saturday no more spins and get a good lap in at 1:23.8 so i am happy with my day.
Sunday arrives and finally i have someone to race with in my class that isn't using a cheater motor. plus a couple other guys get there cars back together.
Actually beat the guy i am racing with once not bad for driving a 20year older car than his.
All in all good weekend had some fun turned some good laps and didn't crash.
Next race weekend is July long hopefully i can turn some faster laps and keep up with some of the guys.
Me Getting blown away on the dry start.
