Jaguar XKR-S

Jaguar has taken the wraps off the new XKR-S at the Geneva Motor Show.

Built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the E-type, the XKR-S has an aggressive front fascia, aerodynamic side skirts, and LED-infused headlights. Elsewhere, the car is equipped with black mesh grille inserts, new front fenders, a sporty rear diffuser, and a massive rear wing.

As one of the most powerful Jaguars ever created, the XKR-S uses a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine with 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds, 0-100 mph in 8.6 seconds, and on to a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).

Lastly, the XKR-S has a heavily revised suspension and a reprogrammed Adaptive Dynamics system which "allows the enthusiastic driver to explore the edges of the handling envelope."

I don't like what they did with the front, it looks too ricey. The line that runs on the top of the grille looks a bit ridiculous, so does the spoiler. The interior is sexy though!

I've never really liked hyundai tiburon's or Mercury Cougars. So therefore I do not like it at all :(

However, I do really really really like the color!

The interior appears americanized. I thought ford dumped jag? Why does it look like the interior of a mustang? :(

Anyone else see the same thing?

if you are grouping the european st170 rebadged as an svt with cosworth internals (Standard) with the north american plastic POS, then yes. I wouldn't imagine you would do that though, because you're smarter than that. right?

that's not how i say it. i say dude, not man But i like the cut of you jib!

Am i the only one who thinks it looks like a tiburon/cougar? I also am really surprised with how "plasticy" it looks. I know that plastic is key to keeping a car light. But jag and other highend manufacturers have done a great job at making plastic look expensive.

Now comparing it to other jags... It is very different for sure. Obvoiusly aimed at a different age group and style. I always liked the style of the older jags... pipe smoking, big, sweater wearing, gold watch, loud talking, whiskey drinking old men.

This jag will fit in the next grand tourismo quite well however

its not bad.. the only jags i like are those old man pimp ones.. i rode in one in europe with a v12 LOL
