Here is how she looked when I got her.....nothing too special, but there are some "improvements" on the way

Specs/Previous Mods:

2000 Audi S4 Tip
Black/Silver Alcantara interior
GIAC+ 91 Chip
SuperSprint TB Exhaust
Neuspeed Rear Sway Bar
Greddy III Turbo Timer
OEM Euro Xenon Headlights
....yes, it sounds like sex and goes like HELL!









Upcoming Mods:

STaSIS Street Sport Coilovers
19" RS4 reps (the Avus' will have winter rubber in a month) with 8mm rear & 5mm front spacers
Smoked tails and markers plus clear corners(possibly Joey Moded headlights too)
Painted emblems front and rear
RS4 grill inserts
License plate bracket with no BC holes!!!
....and that will be all

PS - for those who were about to say it; the 4x4 will be dealt with this weekend (barring any snow), and the turbo timer has already been relocated....updated pics to come next week

Those arent E-codes....Those are Stock S4 lights possibly with an HID retrofit.

oh kyle i just got a short shifter (toy guy) so i'll let you know how that goes.. its supposed to be the best one but i'll see haha

It seems as though you are correct......hrrrmmm, I never even really thought about it, I was just going by what the guy said. Oh well, it's not like I was buying just the lights. Now that you mention it though, the lights have Phillips ballasts which I'm not sure are OEM or not....I'll have to check again when I get home.

I am pretty sure the Stock HID's aren't Phillips.. but hey.. as long as they work!
Just do the clear corner mod and you will be fine...


Toy Guy SS isnt available anymore.. but you can find the exact same thing at Vast Motorsports.. A quick google and it should come up. Website is shoddy, but its just a guy from AW that started selling stuff as side project.

You should also check which chip version you have... an update to the latest file is $25.00 Tunerworks should be able to do that..

Now that you guys mention the CC mod, it would be a good time to ask this; How the hell do you take off the lenses to get inside the housing? I've checked briefly on AW and AZ for DIY on the process, but have come up with nothing.....would it be the same as VW applications, just heat up until they come apart? I am really nervous about doing it that way....maybe I'll just pay a body shop to do it. Somehow the inside of the lights have a pretty good build up of dust and sh!t, and I'd like to get them looking new again.....any ideas?

I'll also have to check the chip version some time too.....any way of doing that with VAG-COM (which I FINALLY have)?

nope.. you remove all the bulbs,etc then you drill the tabs from the outside or a new way is to use a really small soldering iron and melt them.. then you take small pliers inside the main bulb spot and break the orange peice up a bit and start pulling it out.... i dunno about removing the lenses.. never seen anybody do that.. or joey audi headlights for that matter..

Didnt know Toy Guy was back doing his thing... either way Vast/Piggie is the same thing.. they just replace the bearings and drill a new hole/pivot point.

There should be a DIY clear corners in the tech section in AW... shouldnt take over a few hours to do properly. There have been a few people to Joey the B5 headlights... but I really wouldnt reccomend it.. they arent as easy to get apart... and more expensive to replace. Looks decent if you stick to CC and stealth bulbs. I havent seen any decent looking "joey'd" headlights on a B5.. or at least they dont look that decent.

For the chip version, just simply crack open the ECU and read it.. should be written on the chip.. And as Ryan said.. get the 93 program, it makes a huge difference. (I think X is the most agressive.. and 8 is the latest of that) Then you should be able to keep up with me!
(Although I am finally starting to run better.. but not 100% Ryan)

yea kyle your car will move with the exhaust better than mine.. i'm going to try to do one this xmas if money allows (wifey lol)

kyle you should also replace your DVs with new 710ns, replace the TBB with the apr bipipe i have or just a samco one and replace the F hose with a samco as your model with have that hose..
