  • Hello! new member pics inside

Hello all. I was just recently put onto this site while cruising CVD so I thought i would join up and post up a couple pics of my whip! It's a 92 GTI 16V with a TT 3.2L swap. I wish I could say it's finished but software issues have kept this thing from running at 100%. I'll be out at FFH this weekend with it though. Hope to meet some of you.

Holly did you ahve to use a giant shoe horn to fit that motor in? Looks awesome, it must be a blast to drive.

Looks clean as hell! Did you do a full TT dash swap or just the cluster?.....nice work nonetheless

PS - TT tranny swap as well or......is it mated to something else?

Re: Hello! new member pics inside

Thanks for the compliments. To answer some of the questions from above
                      1) No I did not swap the TT dash. I have my stock 16V dash with the TT cluster sitting inside it. Not the cleanest set up but for now it has to do.

                      2) The tranny of choice is a 98 Vr6 GTi unit with a Sachs Sport clutch. Hindsight I wish I had of put a peloquin in during the assembly process. This thing has monster torque steer.

                      3) This car was built in Sask not AB

The motor bolts in like any other Vr6 all the standard 12V block mounting points are on the 24V block which was really cool. We used a solid front mount though to prevent the motor from pitching front ot back as there is NO! room in the front. I can stick a piece of paper between the ultralite rad fans and the intake manifold. The big issue is programing, it's been a hassle since January and we haven't solved the issues yet. I'm scared we won't be able to and I might have to go standalone or 12V injection on it.
