Didn't get a whole lot done today. Drained the coolent, disconnected everything from the head. Picked up the bit I need for the head bolts.
I also started taking my exhaust off, its as much fun as the exhaust manifold, but more rust...
Speaking of exhaust, I'm going to do a 3" exhaust. Should I just have it turn down before the rear beam, or have it side exit? I want to avoid having it go over the rear beam like it does stock.
I like the oval tip also, a little more subtle. But if I just had it turn down right after the muffler, do you think I would have to worry about heat? It would still be under the heatsheild.
Keep in mind that a side exit will make a mess of your rims. There is also the huge down side of massive extra tire wear due to the rubber running much hotter becuase it is heated by the exhaust.

Ok, I'll just do the turn down then, much more simple and subtle.
side is RETARDED!! it'll eat your wheels away from the exhaust hitting them! my buddy had a side exit on his truck and it ate one of his blingy 20s up and he had to buy a new rim and redo the exhaust.. weaksauce
