That is an awesome looking car there Jeff.

It will look smoking with Mods! I think it looks awesome just as it is now.

I want to do a few minor mods on my 03 Golf nothing too drastic seeing as my car isn't a show car and just my daily commuter.

Congrats on the new wheels, all the best.

            Re: My New 06 Golf

So went over to the parents place for dinner tonite, Dad wanted to take the car for a spin so we hopped in and went for a tear. Get back and our conversation went a little like this:

Dad: Fun ride, you sure its only got 100 hp?
            Me: yep, I'm sure.
Dad: Cool, well I think you did well. Good purchase.
Me: Thanks, I think so too.
Dad: Black though huh? Isn't it gonna show every little nick and scratch?
Me: Yeah, well, I take care of my rides pretty well, not too worried. I mean I've already waxed and polished so it's good through the winter.
Dad: Sounds good, but I mean look here on the fender, it's only dusty and it looks like its got a, wait a sec...
            me: what?
Dad: you should look at this....
            Me: Oh f***.

Yep, some a** at the safeway parking lot (the only place I've been in the last day and a half, since I DROVE IT OFF THE LOT) must not have been watching what they were going and scraped my rear fender. Nothing too major, it'll take a machine polish to get it out I'm sure (I tried doing it manually today with some good meguiars rubbing compound - helped a lil bit but not much). Right above the mud guard on the drivers side rear fender, right below the seam between fender and bumper. about an inch wide and 3-4 inches long, just a bunch of really fine scratches. S. O. B.

(I'm a little p*ssed off right now, and it totally wrecked my thanksgiving.)

Hope everyone else had a better thanksgiving than I did....

                  Done already:
Tint. Yep, that's it. Just tint. Gonna be a busy winter.

Like I said, if anyone has any suggestions, the only think I am really unsure about right now is wheels. I have little to no idea what I want to do here, or how much I want to spend.

Anyways..just looked at the clock, time to go to bed....

                            Hey Jeff,
I'm glad you took my advice to join the club. There are a lot of very knowledgable poeple on this board as far as diesel tuning goes. Did your delivery go well? I noticed you decided against doing the suspension prior to picking up your golf. Let me know if I can help you with anything? Glad to see you posting. In case you have no idea who this is, its Derek from the dealership!! Hope to see you at a few meets!
                            Cheers
