2004 Gti 1.8t

First Post. Just picked up this GTI a couple of months ago.

I took it for a test drive and I HAD to have it.

I'm new to the VW world. Any suggestions of places to go for good VW info?

I'd also like to hear any suggestions on mods. Right now I'm thinking I'd really like to smoke all the lighting. New wheels would be nice too. Something gunmetal in a deep dish. Gonna hold off on the engine mods until the warrenty is up in a few years.

Any comments?

smoking the tails or headlights will look good for sure.. as for wheels.. i'm currently selling mine in the classifieds (shameless plug)

ryans black wheels would look killer on your black car but you'd need smoked lighting to give it the full mean dark look

Thanks alot guys.

I'd love to get some new wheels, but right now isn't the time as I'm still in the process of paying for all the furnature I needed to buy when I moved here about 4 months ago. I'm looking more towards spring for new wheels. Right now I'd really like to get a new set of tails... Or just get mine smoked.

Does anyone know of anywhere in Calgary that can do a good job of this?

I found this on ebay. Looks like a good job but buying local would be better.

The grill sounds interesting. What kind is it (ie: wire, honeycomb, etc.) I want to get those tails taken care of first but I'll keep it in mind. Do you have a pic?

grille is honeycomb, badgeless, black.....plain kamei grille, no pics though......

your car looks dope man....i like the stock look of ure car too man, looks nice...vw sure makes fine cars man...i too love my car and wouldnt trade it in for anything
