Brought the ruckus out yesterday to stretch its legs. Took a little while to start but once it warmed up it was running just like summer. Picked up a GP exhaust for it as well. Looks and sounds way better. Should also allow me to squeeze out those extra few km/hour once i retune it.
Now onto the fun stuff. I finally got around to disassembling the bike for the new color. I felt pretty overwhelmed at first but, as you keep pulling bits off, its very straight forward. Took about an hour and a half to get the bike 90% disassembled. I just need to find some massive wrenches to get the stem off. 35mm and 45mm i believe.
Hope to get the pieces in for paint later this week, but theres a few things i want to clean up, shave off. Things like the oem tail light bracket, front signal brackets, Etc...
More parts arrived from the ruckshop! exterior bolt dress up kit, matching whitewall tire for the front, Lowered front forks with the option for a disk brake conversion down the road. Also got myself a recaro seat!
All of this should be finished powder coating today!
Finished the Recaro seat the other day too.
I cannot wait to see the finished product. Driven prep begins! Hoping i can take down some of the big boy bikes at the show :P
Okay so i figure theres alot of people who know the color i chose so i will share the final (almost) results of the bike progress.
Calgary Powder coating did a fantastic job with the bike. Finnish is incredibly smooth. Also went to Calgary auto body supplies for a perfect match of the powder coat and painted the rest of the plastics myself.
Began assembling right away.
Re-Assembly went really well, New shortie front forks are on, new handlebars, grips, bar end mirror, rear seat, Billet Coolant tank, and a few other goodies have been installed. I also stepped the 12.5 inch stretch down to a 8 inch stretch. I feel it looks much better shorter like this.
The color flows so well with the white wall tires. I couldnt be happier with the result.
Heres an updated mod list so far (im probably missing a few things)

-12x8 Rear Douglas Wheel
-Shinko Whitewall Rear Tire
-Shinko Whitewall front Tire
-Chrome Painted front wheel
-Mojo Customs engine mount
-Mojo Customs Shock Mount
-8 inch engine stretch
-RRGS Front shocks
-NCY 12mm Axle
-Low Down Rear Shock
-TRS Billet Drum Adapter

Engine/Transmisison:
-Moto Gp Custom Exhaust
-Jetted Carb

The Bike is about 99% ready for Driven Show. Just a couple more small things left to complete beforehand. Im currently getting up to about 65km/h. But i will have to play with the carb to gain the maximum power working with the nex exhaust, as well as play with the CVT tuning some more to put the power to the wheel. Should be able to squeeze 5 more km/h with he nex exhaust on there. Cant wait to be out riding!
