  • A Gambler’s Thread – e30mclow’s Replacement S4

Some of you will have seen/been following the demise of my Stage III Imola, and how the actions of a 3rd Party acting under the umbrella of my contracted moving agency took it for a rip, and made it RIP.

I was really looking forward to moving from Calgary AB (Canada) to the sunny shores of the Outer Banks NC, and getting to drive the thing at sea level for a change – alas, it wasn’t meant to be.

I settled with the mover’s insurance agency last week, but had been searching every avenue for a replacement B5 for over a month. Given that I now live in the middle of nowhere, shipping/flying to pick up a new car was always going to be the only way to go about getting a replacement.

Last week, a beautiful Black 2000 S4 6MT popped up in Georgia, but there was no way I could make flying down there happen before it was gone. Upon chatting with the owner I was completely reassured regarding the car, and we began to work it all out.
To cut through the details, she is on her way to me now, yet I’ve never laid eyes on/driven it!

    Spec:
    • 1 Owner – whom I have just purchased it from
    • 67,573miles – fully documented with Audi Service Binder & Original Bill of Sale
    • No accidents/liens/stories
    • Black on Silver
    • Manual
    • Seemingly blemish free paint, bar one minor door ding.
    • The owner had an APR Stage 2 Tune (switchable), APR Bi-Pipes, Intercoolers, Downpipes and Exhaust fitted by a well-established Atlanta Audi independent shop – all still under warranty.

Other than that, it is totally stock!
    IT ARRIVES TOMORROW!!!!!

    FINGERS CROSSED!!!

you deserve a good round of luck. I anticipate it being as flawless as the previous owner indicated.

    Look forward to it's progress.

Glad to see you picked up another one Gerard, it looks flawless! What's the plan now, swap the RS4 bumper and motor from the Imola, or something else?
