Hey guys, most of you know back in April 2015 I became the proud owner of a 2012 S4. Since then I've been wanting to make a build thread about it but always put it off for later. This is the car I will drive on a daily basis so it won't be another GTI build, it will be more conservative opposed to being ridiculous with it. Enjoy!
First day I bought her. 28,000kms, Sport Diff, S-tronic. Was kinda hesitant being that its dual clutch but since then I have really started to enjoy it.
First couple things I changed on the vehicle was the grille and p3-cars gauge.
I then found that getting Khloe on air was very simple with the Accuair Sport kit. Talked to Steve at bag barn and he recommended the UAS bags instead since they are the same ones from Accuair just without the Accuair stamp.
However, once it got them on the ride comfort was unbearable, for being on air it wasn't very low aired out, and it was always a battle between having to much pressure in the bag and being extremely bounce or not enough pressure in the bag and bottoming the struts.
I wanted to get the front 3M'd but it was going to cost about $1000 Installed. Instead I spent $800 in vinyl and about 24hrs of my labour and changed the colour of my car while still protecting it from rocks chips!
Finished Product. Looking back its was great fun wrapping the car, took a while and a lot of patience but overall i think next colour change I will be able to have a better finished product. This was my first time ever dealing with vinyl so obviously there are some blemishes and parts that i overlaid and what not.
This year for the fist time I participated in the Royal Rally. Right before leaving I got a Stage 2 tune and a smaller pulley which advertised gave me around 450hp. Definitely helped keep up with everyone
After having the UAS on only for a month or so, I went with airlift performance struts and shocks, which i should have done in the first place.
Comparison between UAS and Airlift. Same wheel, tire, camber.
UAS
Airlift
CTS Turbo Exhaust and ROC Euro Intake
Last weekend was the first time I had taken Khloe up to the mountains since it snowed. Keely got some great shots
Let me know your thoughts good, bad, all welcome
