    yea it supposed to be boosting at 3k its a ko4. ill post pictures right now

      the photos are bad i know... I'm in a rush to fi this and find a job at one time ill post some more tomorrow at the shop when its on the lift.

        Looks like the holset is still in there. Thats why its not making boost till 5000 rpm.

            No we can see the turbo clear as day. It is still the holset turbo in there, probably with the cracked manifold. Sucks to hear that the seller wasn't honest about the car when he was selling, but then again maybe he is just incompetent and doesn't know any better...

                Also just to throw this in there, check the clearance between the turbo and the firewall just for fun, it looks pretty tight and with a decent amount of torque on the engine and very likely stock motor mounts i'd worry that it may rub through. Either way i'd check it out.

                  Time to find a K04 or K03 and forget about this tractor turbo. You'll never engineer the system enough to be able to make use of it.

                    Thought the cracked manifold/turbo was the stock stuff......

                      the holset turbo on his thread is not the turbo in mine it's a Borg Warner KO4

                        that turbo is swapped out for the Borg Warner ko4 now in my car. I spoke to the owner and he said the reason I'm having a boost leak is my wastegate flange is cracked due to the original weld and construction of the flange. I hope that's correct.

                          Do you know what a K04 looks like? Because the turbo in the below picture that you posted is 100% not a K04 that i have ever seen haha

                              You have a group of guys here who either built or have had a turbo car that is trying to help you. Why would you even believe the previous owner when he himself didn't even know what was wrong with the car in his build thread?

                              Did you not take this car for an inspection before purchase?
