End of an era - The car transporter responsible for delivering this thing safely to me, took this for a rip in South Carolina, and crashed it.

I'm beside myself.

And just so we're clear, this wasn't trusted to a U-Ship type of agency, but to one of the top 5 movers in North America.

Rear passenger wheel was smashed, so it is pretty obvious they're to blame.
I think the suspension is fucked too, pardon my language.

Crazy.

Monday morning will be interesting for sure. I only hope that I get the true value rather than some Kelly Blue Book ********.

Wow! That sucks. Was it an independent carrier working for the transport company. Bet the bone head took it out in the snowstorm to have a rip. Will be an interesting Monday for sure.

It would need the rear quarter pulled a little, a rear bumper and support bar, the other quarter filled and smoothed, passenger rear door filled and smoothed/skin, rear lights.

Trunk looked OK, but it has one smashed wheel which makes me worry for the suspension.


Either way, when trusting a car to a mover, the last thing you expect irrespective of repair is a Canadian car that's yet unregistered in the US, yet will have been rebuilt before I put a plate on it.

Wow that really sucks, sorry to hear. I would hope that if its one of the main carriers they would understand the value of a car like this and give you a proper payout if indeed it is written off

He called me, and the only reason I was calm was that I had been suspecting that something was wrong with a few days.

I played friendly and asked him to txt me photos, which he did. Thankfully I have a very detailed video and tons of photos as the car was being loaded.

From the photos, it looks like what I'd put down to a Ken Block meets a gate style maneuver.
