Small Updates.
Having experience issues over the last 6 weeks, that eventually turned out to be "bad" gas, I needed something to help me fall back in love wit the ole girl.
Firstly, after ordering VW Toureg coil spacers as a means of saving costs in doing my 2.0T coil conversion, I realized that they're not really the best solution, so I've ordered up the 034 Motorsports spacer kit.
Following this, my Rotiforms are provisionally sold, so it was time to replace them with some summers.
These re-drilled 18X9.5 et22 squared babies popped up on Kijiji, and are more or less exactly what I was looking for:

No Spacers
Concave
Perfect Poke (in my opinion)

Thanks folks, I'm happy, but it could always be better.
They're 5x112. Miraculous fitment, sans spacers.
Completed the 2.0T coil pack & ICM delete today.
I went with the splice the loom and prey method, and it thankfully worked.
My solder work started off looking like high velocity albatross ****, but it all worked out in the end.
Also did the air filter, oil filter and oil. Not happy with the 5W-40 that was frequently recommended online. Whatever was in it previously kept things quieter.
Next is the rear crank seal. I have a very small leak from the bell housing, so it better be that as it looks to be a big job.Last edited by e30mclow; 06-06-2015, 08:22 PM.
