Driven was a lot of fun this year with Scrapesquad. Our group took home two well deserved awards! Im still a long ways away from competing with bob for that best audi category .

After a week of craziness, the car was completed 1 hour before roll in on friday afternoon. I can't thank bob enough for his hard work getting the carbon kit finished for the show!

I actually think the rack kind of balances the car out a bit. Without it it looks kind of bottom heavy!

                            • Non bacon car

Had a good time at close to home yesterday. Always fun to see everyone gathered at shows and meeting new people.

So some bad news that I'm still burning a lot of oil... "bangs head"

Everyones telling me they see lots of WHITE smoke out the back of the car under acceleration. White smoke would tell me coolant is burning... but my coolant levels have not changed at all, I've never had to top off the car. Im definitely burning oil.

I took a look at a couple things this weekend. Im not exactly sure what this evidence means so if someone could help me out that would be awesome.

Last week i picked up a Pcv blockoff plate and installed it to see if anything would change. As advertised, the car ran better with this on. but still left me smoking out the back.

I Pulled the intercooler hose off the passenger side intercooler and no oil came out of it. there was just a little bit of residue on the piping, and a small pool on the inside. Last time i checked the intercoolers in the winter, i had a few teaspoons oil pour out of the intercooler.

Next i pulled off the rear PCV breather to make sure the check valve still worked properly (which is does) but it was coated with oil. This would mean my new Oem Valve cover is still pulling oil from the crank case and down the breather...

Next i pulled the TIP off and took a look down in the turbo, I had a little bit of pooling down in there. is this something i should be worried about? Im assuming there is oil down there because the oil is still being pushed through the rear pcv.

Can anyone advise me on next steps? From looking at these signs I'm thinking this is still PCV related or possibly turbo related, and not rings/pistons. But I'm thinking I should do a compression test to make sure? Does anyone have the tool that i could borrow and possibly help me do it?

On a sorta related note, I picked up a Billet IE Valvecover at concept1 as they had it for cheap! so i jumped on it. I Still need a few AN fittings tog get this to work. and wow IE website wants 130USD for three fittings and some line.... Any good places in the city to source these?

Another option to "test" to see if my oil consumption is PCV related or if its coming from somewhere else would be to put the billet VC on and plum everything like this:

If i vent to atmosphere, i should see the oil pushed out to the ground (i would attach some sort of container to catch the oil) Therefore i would see it accumulate in the container, and no longer see smoke out the exhaust.

I know this is a ton of info..... so any help is appreciated.
