Re: Non bacon car
Picked up a new south performance boost gauge today, pretty easy install.
So I'm peaking at 21 psi and holding at 19 just like the website states.
Few maintenance items coming up. Timing belt/water pump due. Gonna replace the pcv/diverter valve to try and solve the oil consumption issue.
Do any of the b7 guys know which specific version of the dv and pcv that I should be getting? There's so many versions.

Re: Non bacon car
I had a little boo boo with the cuprazila, and ended up tearing. So in order to do a quick fix i glued it up and wrapped it in gold temporarily. It will get a rebuild over winter. Really been enjoying the car lately. I just noticed how hard this thing squats getting out of the driveway everyday. Makes me want bags.... a lot
Other than that i don't have many updates. Been crazy busy with photography sessions. but managed to get a few of my own car here and there.

Re: Non bacon car
Dont really have any big updates. Ive been too busy with photography goodies instead of car parts. The car is going into Tunedub for timing belt/waterpump, coolant temp sensor CEL that keeps coming and going. and the check valve that feeds to the turbo which has been causing my oil consumption issues. Im excited to have this car running perfect again.
The front tires that i picked up mid season that were already quite worn are done now. (b7's have brutal front camber wear when really low, i will be picking up adjustable upper control arms over the winter so i dont have issues for next summer) I wish these lasted a few weeks longer, but no biggie.
I was planning on running some half baller winter wheels, but i came across some wicked 17 inch Nokia Hakka R2's with 1000km on them from a friend. These will be going on the stock audi wheels. I took the mature route and would rather have awesome winter tires, than shitty tires and cool looking wheels. Surprising hey?
Winters and a slight height adjustment will be happening this weekend. Im excited to plow through the winter.... heres hoping we get lots and lots of snow! Lets just say winter is my favourite season :P

Re: Non bacon car
Picked up the car from george and the car feels fresh. Car has been raised up for winter and I'm pumped for snow.
I know i said somewhere in this thread that i wouldn't be putting this car on air, but i still have some air goodies hanging around. i think i might do it. Two 400c compressors with exo mounts, Elevel fobs and a new Elevel sensor harness, and plenty of fittings left over from the previous bagged cars.
I believe one of these compressors has an electrical problem, but the other should be good to go apart from the little valve inside the head. Does anyone know if i can just purchase the little metal valve, or will i need to replace the whole piston? Also, which is the safest way to test these compressors to see if they are working properly?

Re: Non bacon car
Some more bad news with the car. Im still burning oil like crazy. oil light came on and I'm below the low line on the dipstick. My oil change was on the 27th, probably driven 1500-2000km since then. I pulled the hoses from the intercoolers, Drivers side had a little bit of oil drip out. Passenger side had nothing, almost dry. I think i will look at doing the valve covers gasket next. Really hope this isn't something major.
On the fun side of things.... Management is getting shipped out tonight, Now all i need is a tank, and front/rear bags. Hopefully i can find a good used set, or a good deal on black friday.
I also tested out the two compressors i have. One of the compressors is working fine, the other, not so much.
Motor starts up fine when connected, but there is no air pumping out. Makes me believe either the check valve is busted, or something internally is broken. I pulled the head off and both reed valves seem fine, but one almost seems bent upwards a tad. Im, not sure if this is normal or not.
