Re: Non bacon car
Had an awesome weekend up in radium for into the rockies. Have the new camo setup on, It makes the wheels work better than the black on black and theres too many people doing the white/grey/black camo :P had to change it up.
Im having some worrisome issues with oil consumption right now. Blue smoke comes out of the exhaust during deceleration after high boost. Colin and a few others are saying Pcv/Breather Tube, Others saying turbo. Im going to replace the PCV and breather and hopefully that will fix up the issues. Ill also be replacing the valve cover gasket as it is lightly sweating.
If it is the turbo........... I may look at doing a small upgrade. Im not looking for crazy power, I'm would be looking at a k04, or a Frankenturbo. something that still allows the car to be very reliable. Advice here would be greatly appreciated.
Onto a few pics of the new setup.

Re: Non bacon car
If it's coming on upon deceleration then it's probably not going to be the turbo is it? When turbo seals are going bad they typically blow blue smoke at the start of acceleration, AKA taking off from red lights.
It sounds like a crankcase ventilation issue to me, you pressurize it with some blowby around the rings when you are on high boost and you start to notice the blue smoke when the crankcase can't properly vent itself. Take apart the charge piping by the intercooler and see if you can pour some oil out of the IC.

Re: Non bacon car
Extra boost will quickly overwhelm the OEM PCV system. Especially with these new high boost tunes. If the valve-cover weeping is new/post tune then you may have a blockage there is pressure building. If the extra boost is just pushing more vapor through the intake they you will see some sign of fresh oil sitting in the Throttle body and other intake plumbing. Chances are your turbo is fine( for now ) failing turbo seals usually show up smoking on a cold engine and get better after warm.

Re: Non bacon car
Have you checked your car for recalls?
When I got my car I had 3 recalls done. One of which being the crank case breather!
Also, I wouldnt really suggest frankenturbo (IF It is your turbo), as you'd have to get a custom tune for it. K04 is done by every tuner as just a stage 3 tune.
And bob. These tunes are ~5-10 years old =( The only new tunes that are out there are JHM.

Re: Non bacon car
Lots of companies have frankenturbo tunes now, definitely would never go with a regular k04, the bang for your buck factor is definitely with the frankenturbo. We've run them on a bunch of cars in red deer and never had a problem2011 Meteor Grey S4

And yeah... I know how you feel. I did mine not too long after I bought my car. So it was still sport suspension height haha. Might be worth it to spend an hour to lift your car prior to going there. It's not THAT time consuming to raise your Coilovers....
