I may be out of tune (no pun intended) with my 2 liter turbo engines but those numbers for a K03 turbocharger seem a bit high. They seem more like crank hp numbers to be honest, as APR lists 241hp (not whp) and unitronic lists theirs at 245hp (not whp).
I have no doubt however that it is a solid tune that will throw you back in your seat twice as hard as without the tune

While i agree it seems high, and this is just what is listed on their site. But based on my reading, Apr and unitronic tunes for these cars are almost 10 years old now and have not been updated. This tune feels like it has much more power than the apr trial tune i had on the car a few months back. Company's like UM and JHM have been testing these car's again and really been able to push numbers.

I know this is not my tune, but it is an example of how much power they can put out. Here is a difference between Revo stage 2, and JHM stage 1(um is similar numbers to JHM) that someone posted on audizine. Im not the best at reading dyno's or anything like that so dfinitely correct me if I'm wrong. For hardware it looks like he had intake/test pipe and intecooler.

      Rev stage 2:

      Jhm stage 1: (same car)

This is why i would like to get my car on a dyno once i have the test pipe in because i am really curious.

I'll most likely just be going to Calgary auto works for it. I'll do it sometime before summer ends.

Edit: scratch that. thought it was fixed.

I changed my cam follower every 40k km and they looked exactly like yours. I though apr tune stage 1 was 265hp for the gti which would be the same as yours? The car is looking good.

thanks! Im not exactly sure how the Gti engines differ from mine. But i am definitely loving the extra power from the tune. The car feels great.

I took a weekend trip out to Invermere this weekend, and got great mileage with the tune. Over 700Km with this tank while having some fun on the highway. I thought i would have gotten pretty bad mileage because i was having some fun.

Roads look pretty good for into the rockies this upcoming weekend. Theres a strip before kananaskis where some repaving is happening. Almost done although there are a few big bumps that we will have to slow down for.

I hope to have a test pipe installed by the cruise, reviews have said it really opens up some more power in the curve.

Test pipes/downpipes are very very helpful on turbocharged cars. It helps both with the spool of the turbo and actually increases lower end torque significantly. I think it will help you enjoy your tune even more!

I never realized until i saw evan's car pull so much harder after he installed his downpipes (still on stock tune). Will also be nice to have a little bit of sound coming from the rear end instead of just a little bit of wind.

installed the APR test pipe with kyle, don and eric last night. Removing the downpipes was pretty difficult because we only had jack stands. The jacks wouldn't go high enough to pull the downpipes though the bottom. After trying to separate the downpipe and the cat while it was halfway out, We ended up just pulling it through the top which took about 2 seconds... Going through the bottom makes it much more difficult. I stripped one of the bolts trying to remove the collar that connects the catback and the downpipe. Luckily we were able to just remove the one bolt, then slide it back enough to pull it out. Ill replace the bolt next time I'm under the car, or when if i get an exhaust leak. But so far so good.... No leaks.

Car seems to pull a bit harder now, boost comes in a few 100 rpm's earlier, and it makes a decent sound. At first i thought it sounded like crap because after an exhaust install I'm used to hearing a vr6 yell at me. But the guys told me it sounded pretty good. Again, big thanks to kyle eric and don for the help with the install. My weak ass shoulder doesn't work well with 02 sensors and such.

Overall I'm quite happy with how much quicker the car is now. It would be awesome if the car was around 245whp and 275wtq like the tune states. But who knows. Don told me to head over to vex performance for a dyno, any other suggestions in the city?
