Strange things happen to your spares over time. Mine was full of methyl hydrate and batteries!!

Silver lining to Danny's troubles is that he will be able to concentrate on photos and video. Bonus for all of us that will not be going.

So i havent had any interest for the car, so im on the fence about keeping it. Looks like my asking price is too high and im not willing to sell it for less, so it may be staying for a while. I put the 3 wci wheels back on, the 4th is getting a new tire this week and am getting CAW to make sure it seals. The wheels are sold, but i just need to make sure the 4th wheel will hold air so i will be running them over the weekend, then giving them to the new owner.

So colin and the guys at Calgary autoworks were able to get the 4th wheel sealed(thanks guys!). Turns it wasn't entirely wci's fault that the valve stem wasn't sealing. Kaltire over tightened the metal valve stem, completely f*cking up the threads on the stem as well as tearing apart the rubber seals. But all is good (for now, fingers crossed!).

I was going to trade for some other wheels, but the buyer backed out so ill be keeping the wheels as well .

Das volks was a fun time! Its sure hard to compete in the Audi class. So many other awesome cars!

I really wanna see it in person with the wheels on now. I think Bob once said you should keep it blacked out and i think that would look awsome. BTW the front lip is on point!

Looks great Danny! The car looks so much lower overall in the blacked out form that it did with the Camo and the INDs. If you ever do get tempted to do the camo again maybe do all dark camo. Matt black and a very dark grey. Oh and paint them calipers something bright.

Thanks bob, i think the reason the car looks so much lower than it did on the ind's is because i spun the coils down a good inch or two :P Im kinda looking at new camo ideas, i like the idea of a dark theme.

How would i go about painting callipers? do i need to remove them/how hard would it be to remove. never done brakes before.

Painting your brakes is easy. Make sure you get a brake bleeder (pressurized unit like a motive) and it is easy.
                              - Remove the calipers and carriers
                              - Remove banjo bolt to remove brake line
                              - Remember to have some type of catch bucket ready for the fluid that will slowly but consistently drip out
                              - drain calipers out and fill hole with bolt or rag of sorts to prevent paint from getting in the threads as well as fluid from coming out
                              - Brake cleaner and wire brush to remove paint and rust from your current calipers and carriers
                              - De-grease and paint with proper high temp caliper paint
                              - Obviously don't paint the flat mating surfaces between the carrier and spindle, also avoid the piston boots as much as you can
                              - wait til it's dry
                              - bolt back on
                              - fill with fluid and bleed brakes accordingly

Take you time and do a good job, if you leave areas not done then there are more edges where the peeling typically starts from so cover as much as you can and cover it in a few coats before the previous coat dries.

Also, round camo bits next time, like bubbles instead of sharp edges
