Car is pretty much ready for the summer, other than a couple small things I'm going to get fixed up. I would like to get started on getting a tune/test pipe pretty soon as well.
I picked up glidecam the other day, I hope to make some videos of cars/shows this year, but they're a little tricky to get the hang of. Just needs lots of practice.
Unfortunate news. I have a major problem with my tires. The fronts are absolutely shredded on the insides. I took my car to Zero Limit auto just over a month ago for an alignment. I had asked them to put as much camber on the rears as possible without causing my tires to wear out super quick. I'm wondering if he mistakenly thought i wanted camber up front as well? (i didn't think you could adjust camber on the fronts) Anyways, I'm not very happy because these tires were in pretty good shape before the alignment. So I'm going to talk to jackie and maybe ask for 2 replacement tires or at very least a free re-alignment.

I took this crappy news as an opportunity to switch over to an 18 inch set up. I think the ind's are pretty much the perfect wheel for the b7, but I'm still addicted to being low and the new wheels will allow me to do so, while having a comfier ride at the same time. The ind's are going to the new owner this afternoon.
Choosing between two sets, i will know by this afternoon which ones i will pick but I'm just waiting on a priority shipping quote... (leavenworth is coming up very quickly) will either be 8.5/9.5 set up or 9.5's Square. Stay tuned.
do you have adjustable control arms? if not, and you still want to be slammed, now might be the perfect time to grab a set (since you're doing an alignment).
lots of options out there, and RockAuto in the US sells the same ones as everyone else for about 1/2 the price ($195 CAD per side).

Ouch, that sucks. Those tires a really shredded too, glad one didn't blow on you!
good thing because i was planning to roll on these to leavenworth...
One of the audizine guys mentioned something about bump steer:
The inside wear is mainly due to the toe. The camber won't kill tires like that, however a bit of camber AND factory (or out of spec) toe settings WILL easily kill tires that quickly. You need to get an alignment and have the toe set fairly close to zero, then adjust your bump-steer to neutralize that.
Ive told people that I've been experiencing "tracking" or my car grabbing the road and pulling. I thought this was normal because of a wider wheel/tire set up. Im experiencing a lot of "bump steer". Is there a way of adjusting this and could this be the issue causing my wear?
