  • MK4 Jetta round two

    History behind my Jetta:
    Was originally purchased for my cousin who needed a first car got it for a steal of a deal due to needing a decent amount of work. It needed oil cooler gasket, new shift tower (no 5th gear), heater core and the list goes on. So we fixed it on a budget to get my cousin a good car.

    Started life looking like this:

    So we dropped off the car with her and gave her a crash course on driving standard and left feeling pretty confident that she has a good hand at driving standard. Well that is where we were wrong, 2 month's later she finally admitted that she wasn't happy. So we built this instead for her.

    So I added a few things to the car after I got it. Roof Rack, Full HID retrofit (bi-xenon from TRS), Led tail lamp upgrades, Bilstein / H&R suspension

      After driving it for 6 month's I got sick of looking at its flaws that the previous owners have created. Dented door, peeling clear coat, caved in rear arch etc.

      So we did bodywork....

        Well it officially hit 350,000km on the good old 2.0L. I am having a hard time trying to decide what to do with it to be honest, I want more power but I do like the reliability of this motor. I can get complete parts cars for a swap all day and night for really cheap but not sure if I should go 1.8T or 2.0L or 1.9td.... Hmmm

            Thanks, I can't find most of my pictures of the progress that I have actually made lol

            This was my first set of retrofits that I have done a few years ago, Since then I have done a few sets for customers / friends. My basement has never been the same since lol

              Doesn't look to bad under these lights lol


              Concluded after putting in new strut bearings / bushings I need to lower the front a little more or raise up the rear.... needs coils I'm thinking :(

                  The color is a Honda color: Blue Raspberry Metallic!

                  The car was painted by my brother at his shop. A few panels were replaced and was fully primed as i had some clear coat issues and rust around the roof. It will be going back to BC to get painted again and also a few other items chamged next year. I have a hard time keeping cars so its motivation for me to keep it.
