    Re: New steering wheel

My usual feeling is it needs to be tied in somehow, wooden trim or something. I think it looks great!

But I can tell you've done it right, some love it, some hate it. No different than art.

Sean gotta agree that I think the original 337 wheel is nicer, but is there really a need to hate on someone's car because you disagree on an opinion?

My personal opinion is based on the lack of airbag I wouldn't do it. But from a cosmetic point of view it looks good. I think if you made your headliner with wood paneling it would fit together nicely .

Depending on the Cop that pulls you over, it's the same deal as removing the seatbelts. I've had an RCMP office remove my licence plate and not give it back until it was "safe for his highway"

hmm, I like the wheel but its better suited to an older car. An R32 wheel or Rs4 wheel would be much better suited

The flip side is that an airbag is deemed less than 50% chance of deploying after 10 years and should be replaced. So for a MK4 that means most airbags need to be replaced.

Anyway I see the wood wheel as a kind of wink to the old VW bus and they have wood headliners, so it would be cool if you went farther and made it a "theme".

I much prefer the stock limited edition perforated with red stitching steering wheel. I find it flows well with the red/black recaros, red/black seatbelts and the matching e brake cover. But as long as you like it then that's all that really matters, after all it's your car.

Hmmm... Love the wheel. I think it'd look great in my car (got wood trim). Match the colours up and it would be pretty dope.

It's not like he can't do wood trim after anyways if he wants. Kits aren't exactly hard to come across.

I thought matching wood trim was hard to get? Unless you get like wood stickers and cover up your trim...
