After selling my 2006 A4 Avant and my 89 E30 M3 I needed something that would fill the void left by both cars. I started looking for a car that would have the utility and practicality of the A4 (with better ground clearance for the winter) and something sporty, visually striking and handled well enough to have some fun on twisty mountain roads. Its a bit of an odd combination to try to put into one car, I briefly thought about another sport wagon, but I wanted something with a bit more ground clearance if I decided to lower it again. The decision ultimately came down the the Audi SQ5 and the Porsche Macan S, with the Porsche winning out in the end and although I have only had the car a few days I am sure I made the right decision. As far as plans go for the car I only intend to get some 21" wheels for it and maybe eventually some coilovers, some very minor cosmetic enhancements (sport pedals, blacked out badges on the hatch) and maybe a tune when the warranty is up. I haven't gotten out to have a good photoshoot with it yet but I will post a couple iphone pics I took the other day. As well as some of the cars I sold to get it.
