My 91 GTI 8V

Hey im Will i just recently purchased a 91 GTI 8V for 2300$, as it sits now its on steelies so im looking into a pair of diamond racing wheels. Already on KW coilovers and a few other small mods
(intake, exhaust, front strut bar, big bumper conversion kit, euro headlights and tails). Coming this weekend im gonna do some maintenance under the hood and possibly pick up a set of wheels.

Looks like a nice base to start from. Congrats, that being said. Diamond racing wheels are junk. Don't waste your time and just buy real wheels. Diamonds are what 5-700 a set where a real set of wheels for a mk2 is 1000-1200 new. And then you still have to buy tires. Find a inexpensive set of wheels that aren't shitty diamonds

Thanks for the welcome and replies, a couple more shots will have more in the future but not much to show at the moment




The paint is very rough, they painted over the base coat so its chipping and red marks are popping up here and there. I do like the color but not the paint job have a couple ideas in mind for paint, maybe an olive green or maybe flat grey. Tomorrow im picking up some new door handles from a guy on the forum and finally getting it registered to drive !

Will brought the car over this morning! Interior is MINT looks brand new! Needs a tune up which we will be doing tomorrow and upon closer inspection the car has been painted (not very well) TWICE over the original tornado red! :( Will and I will be re-doing the bodywork and paint to get it back to a nice clean tornado red beauty over the summer! Stay tuned!

Started off the day heading over to Evans and off to Auto Value for parts we picked up an Oil filter, Oil, spark plugs, and a new air filter.

Than we did the sparks and air filter



Tomorrow were gonna buy all new O rings because they have been butchered and paint the intake pipe.

We deleted the rear windshield wiper



This is also a good example of how badly the paint was done




Couple shots of my interior and the red in the door jams the car is basically a watermelon




End the day off with a picture of our GTIs
