Hello everybody,
My name is Juul and I'm from the Netherlands. TheJungle tipped me off about this great forum so I decided to register. I've been a veedub fan ever since I was a kid because my parents used to own vw's. I've owned quite a few myself but mostly Golfs. Let me introduce you to my ride...
MK3 Golf GT Special 1.8 1994. This is how I bought the car a year ago
The first mod was the steering wheel. Not a new one but it comes from my 1st Golf so it has sentimental value
Then I put some factory wheels on to get rid of those hideous wheel caps. Also mounted clear bumper indicators
Sad enough, someone tried to break into my car. I've learned from previous experience so the very same day I bought the car I mounted Armor-plates on the front doors. Thanks to these they couldn't get in but they also tried through the rear hatch
I was getting sick and tired of having people messing with my car so I went all out on security. Installed an alarm system, mounted door levers without key holes on the front doors and got an extra set of Armor-plates for the rear doors
Now that this was taken care of it was time to bring the car a bit closer to the ground
The next step was to get some new rims. The old ones didn't do the car justice. I found a really nice set of OZ Titans 17" with 195.40.17 tires
Shortly after I found a green GTI Edition interior for sale and I called right away. Had to drive 5 hours back and forth for them but it was worth it
And this is how the car looks nowadays
Future plans:
-full black interior with custom made headliner
-matte green paintjob with cream wheels
-2.9 vr6 swap (if possible)
I left out a few things, otherwise this post would be even longer. Let me know what you think of my Golf...
Greetings from Holland
