Hmmm. If you don't mind me asking, whats all involved in the major service and what is the approximate cost?
My 911 is at Riegel right now getting a new top end, rings, lifters, clutch and a few other miscellaneous things done. Its a big bill for me but worth it. I'm really hoping we can do a 90's sports car photoshoot this summer!

It involves removal of the entire rear sub frame, engine comes totally out, all belts changed etc. Pretty huge job.

I was going to actually send to Riegel as their Ferrari tech (Steve) is great, timing worked better with FMoA and their service advisor (Seetal) is great.

Did you have poor leak down results or something? People tear into these engines way more often than they should. A reseal occasionally is okay, but a full rebuilt is often not needed.

Hey Stefan,

It truly does. Funny story, my mother knows a ton about our "toys" over the years. Her exact words after hearing it at idle were "it sounds ALOT smoother". New clutch and flywheel make for a big difference in feel (butter operation, almost TDI like in my opinion). I hope all is well in Edmonton. Was always good to head to work at one of the sites and see your car there. Keep in touch!

Out for a final rip. Had her washed and looking pretty. Ran some errands around town today. Hopefully if not raining she will be at the coffee meet tomorrow.
