Does the cabby have power steering? I am still trying to figure out how I am going to install mine. I thinking I might have a new pulley machined to mate to the old pump. Needs some more research.Name: Brent

If you don't want it you can seal off the lines and it makes a nice rack with a shorter turn to turn than the manual.Name: Brent

About time for an update! Been so busy with other things that we haven't had a chance to do much on the cabrio.
With the engine torn apart we took the time to replace all the gaskets, unfortunately I didn't document any of it.
Some pretty bits came in a while ago and have finally been put to good use
Out with the old:
More cleaning... I can't begin to describe how dirty this thing was:
In with the new:
Covers in place so all the pretty stuff is hidden...

Now with the 1.8t nearly built up and ready to go, it was time to turn our attention to the 8v
Jacked up, rad removed, axles unbolted, wires coming out slowly

You sure the passenger side engine mount is going to fit or did you change to the 16V belt tensioner? Or is that what the red roller piece is suppose to buy you clearance for?
