So I did my first mod today and removed that ugly plastic black plate holder (thanks Martin!). Looks a thousand times better. Looking on how to fix the front plastic "chrome" piece now as there is holes in the bumper. If anyone has recommendations/advise on fixing this please let me know. TIA

Well....on my MKIV I've kept the front plate holder after bringing it to AB....really doesn't bother me too much. I would have to change rub strip to resolve the issue.

For your vehicle consider purchasing a new chrome piece or change to a black one found on GTI's.
