Coolant temperature must be at least 85 degrees C

      On vag com:

Check air flow sensor - looking for a specification: 3.0 to 5.0 g/s if it is within spec:

      - Connect multimeter to measure voltage at connector terminal 2 and engine ground (GND).
      - Start engine and run at idle speed.
      Specification: 11.0 to 15.0 V
      - Switch off ignition.

      If no voltage is present:
      - Check wire for open circuit between 5-pin connector terminal 2 and Fuel Pump (FP) -J17- referring to Electrical Wiring Diagrams.
      Wire resistance: max. 1.5 ohms

If the voltage supply and wiring is OK.

      - Connect multimeter to measure voltage at connector terminal 4 and engine ground (GND).
      - Switch on ignition
      Specification: at least 4.5 V
      - Switch off ignition.

      If no voltage is present:
      - Check the signal and ground (GND) wires for Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.

Checking signal and ground (GND) wires for Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
      - Remove wiper arms and cowl panel:

Check wiring for open circuit between test box and 5-pin connector referring to Electrical Wiring Diagrams.
      Terminal 3 and socket 27
      Terminal 4 and socket 53
      Terminal 5 and socket 29
      Wire resistance: max. 1.5 ohms

      - Additionally check wiring for short to one another, to vehicle ground (GND) and to battery positive.
      Specification: infinity ohms

Thanks Natty! I'll test t out as soon as I'm back in Calgary next week, how much would it be for you to check it?

School ended on Thursday and I headed straight to mission raceway drag strip, $35 gets me access to the drag strip from 4-11pm. On the second run ever I managed to go above 100mph and was awarded a NHRA badge for it! Made five runs throughout the night learning how to launch better and testing different shift points, the fastest et of the night was 14.08s at 103mph, I was not going to go home unless I get into the 13s but stock control arms really got to their limits with handling all that torque and the grip from the RE11s and LSD, wheel hop was not great, I'm sure I'll get into the 13s next time at GCVW with some r32 control arm bushes and a new dog bone. Anyways, managed to beat a minty fresh mk4 R32 which was driven by a professional(with a 9s vrt on the trailer) by 0.5s and almost 10mph! I've only ran down the strip ten times and 6 times in the Jetta so there's still some potential, my goal is to take it easy and not break anything while aiming for going in 13s at mission(don't trust the Internet times anymore after seeing all the cars' et at mission). Ate some shitty food on the hood at the end of the night but it's still one of the best Fridays I've had in a while!

Spent a full day detailing my car inside out and today we went down to Washington and got second place Silver award at Waterwerks 2016 hosted by Volkswagen of America! The best moment wasn't the award, instead it was how many people were talking to me about the car and actually cared about my work.

Anyone have any insight about this?
                            http://www.urotuning.com/IDF-Raised-...4-p/idf020.htm

My current one is quite out of whack if I don't have the camber plates but the current camber plates are noisy so I'm leaning towards running stock mounts again, but that would require a new subframe, so I'm deciding between this and a new stock frame

I would honestly just go with a new or used and powdercoated OEM frame and tyrol press in bushings (http://www.tyrolsport.com/suspension...rame-bushings/). It would give you the feel that you want (you like the tight feel eh?) with a far better price tag. You also need to trim your firewall in to account for the raised steering rack.
You would get the tubular if you want scene points or if you really really really needed it for a perhaps a dedicated race car with the tubular control arms and heim joints instead of bushings. You aren't low enough to need it for clearance issues.

I’d like a tubular front subframe eventually too but will likely go with these guys... http://www.fmfabrication.ca

Lighter and stronger than OEM but comes at a cost of course - would definitely be worth comparing the end price of an upgraded OEM subframe to a tubular option.

                                Keep us posted.
