How does the strut and axle look? The inside of the wheel has some grinding that kinda looks like it hit the spindle or threads or something at one point and if the whole weight of the car was on the axle twisting it sideways you may have done something to the cage inside.

      I'm okay guys!

Strut has a few scratches on the adjustment collars but nothing looks bent, it'll all depend on how it drives. The freshly rebuilt axle might just be replaced since when i was working on it today i got a handful of axle grease. And I'll probably need a new rear beam, which will be installed at the dealer here. The car is sitting in front of my house right now and hopefully no one bothers to report it and tow it away(left a very friendly note on the windscreen if that helps). After assessing the major damage(required to fix to drive to dealer) I ordered a pair new rotors, one new hat, spare lines(just in case), and hardware kit to sort the wilwood brakes out. Ordered some new winter wheels, and waiting for a quote to replace the two CHRs(they're probably repairable but is it worth the money and will it be as nearly as strong?). Visited the Clarkdale VW dealer to get a new brake dust shield, a pair of control arms, a ball joint, and all the hardware. And shoutout to Colin for hooking me up with an awesome deal on a spare spindle assembly saving me a lot of money at the dealer. So far I'm about $2500 in, I am repairing everything properly with only original parts and mostly new parts because well I mean look at the damage, but will save a few bucks if I can such as spare spindles($100 or so compared to $1200) and such.

Love the Clarkdale VW dealer highly recommended if you guys need anything VW while in Vancouver, very friendly and helpful service I go there for everything and arrives within the next day or two if it isn't in stock, some can say they love me because I spend lots there but isn't that what all the service is like? You can't expect services to be nice if you aren't paying for it, but if I can get much better service from them for the same price as others I'd go to them(just like Calgary Autoworks and Natty). Also I do think they sell parts a lot cheaper than let say Northland VW in Calgary(they can stick a chopstick up their butt).

Had to replaced a ton of parts
        Oem spindle assmebly
Bnib second last oem axle in North America parts are really getting hard to find, wish vw could learn from BMW and Benz to produce parts for older cars
        Bnib oem control arms
        Spc camber top mounts
Got some new winter wheels and looking to either repair or replace the bbs chr
All I can say is that it's not easy repairing this kind of damage on the side of the road and watch out for black ice!

Sounds like you had the same type of accident with virtually the same damage back when I owned the car. Sucks! But definitely glad to hear you are ok.

Something special came in from Russia today... Waited months for these bad boys, should I do white gauge with blue needles or stock blue gauge with red needles? Thanks for the logo inspiration Bob!

Bought an originally $1200 VIS racing hood for $250 after weeks of searching, the state explains the price. Early birthday gift for myself and I'll be refinishing it asap. Any tips for this kind of job?

Just installed these Silver Project camber plates to retire the SPC mount for various reasons.
First of all these are almost the exact same as ground control ones, yet costs $150usd shipped from Poland, I don't think a piece of metal like this should cost anymore than this price and I've only seen good feedback about this brand. In contrast tthe SPC mounts were 200usd.
Secondly these get more camber and lowers the car just a little bit, every bit helps when you're riding PSS9 lol
Finally, I expected these to ride harsh but they ride totally normal.
They probably need to be lubricated every so often but it's just a matter of squirting a bit of gun oil for me. I'm interested in seeing how long they last but they look pretty high quality and the reviews are all positive.

Many many hours of sanding and painting later... Still need to smooth it and put a few more layers of clear over but it's looking much better than before.
