Hahahaha now that you guys gave me the idea I must do that sometime to an aluminum bodied car. I'm gonna strip my brand new wheels #FWP, and polish them like a Chinese guy polishing their wok. And maybe the rear calipers since they're aluminum with the fronts painted red/yellow.

Can I clearcoat polished surface? I thought it would just run since the surface is so smooth.
I would think so... you usually get adhesion through chemically bonding to a previous coat or mechanically to a rough surface, and you would have neither.
