    Re: New RS4

here derek for you sir, i run the gold bottle in the titty 17k later power seems the same as new, i haven't looked inside the engine though

read through it all its interesting, especially page 19

    vw oil's http://www.oilspecifications.org/volkswagen.php

here's the oil i use now, you can get it from any vw dealer, they put it in their tdi's the gold bottle is the good bottle (504/507 spec), black bottle (502 spec) is probably what most dealers will pour in causing carbon buildup

Hmmm. Interesting read. Thanks Bart! Turns out my CEL is caused by 2 faulty (leaking) injectors. Had Eric at Royal Oak do a fuel rail pressure test and it ended up showing 2 injectors not holding pressure. Looks like I'll be replacing all 8 injectors while getting the carbon clean done!!!! Damn!! Oh well, gotta pay to play I suppose.

That is an interesting read. I think I might try the Amsoil Low SAPS Euro Oil for my next oil change. Essentially the gold bottle that you've shown us. How much is it for a quart?

I thought diesel's require different type of oil... Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes there are specific types of oil for diesel engines, mainly because its more robust, but it's not limited to use in diesels.
