      Re: CC Mini-Build

I was messing around with the CC earlier, so I figured I'd update this.

I got the European signal lights installed and the R-Line license plate frame put on a few weeks ago, and I also added a couple stickers for good measure.

I was also going to test fit my Superturismos on the CC (I already know they would need spacers), but I forgot VW doesn't know how to design a wheel lock properly, so that didn't happen. But I did this just to get an idea of what they would look like on there. If I sell the GTI, should the Superturismos stay for the CC?

I'm going to try to talk my dad into getting some lowering springs soon too haha

I think the Superturismos would look sick on the CC.

What's wrong with the wheel locks? I think those wheels would look real good on there. Needs to be a bit lower though.

Same thing that happened to the ones on my GTI... The key has a bunch of teeth in it that come down to a really fine point, but they only grip properly when you're tightening the lugs. If you let that key slip on the lug even once, it bends the tips of the teeth outwards and then makes it nearly impossible to get a grip on the lugs. I can just barely get a grip still, so I decided not take the wheels off... next time I do, I'll be replacing the locks with regular lugs like I did on the GTI.

I'm working on the lowering situation... I need to talk my dad into it first haha

Lol he'd never go for that. If anything, it'll just be lowering springs.

Doesn't really need much more than lowering springs. Those cars have very little wheel gap as it is

I think those would be pretty slick on the CC, Scott!

Yeah, exactly. People on Vortex seem to love the Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs because it lowers nicely and firms up the car a bit, but the ride stays almost the same. I found a place in BC that sells them for ~$250, so I think that will be the way we go!

Does need to be lower. Just put springs on it and don't say anything.

Haha if it's just lowering springs then my dad will probably go for it. My mom agrees with me when I say we need to lower it though haha
