Re: A couple of vw's.
Well i did a service on the jetta this weekend. Oil change, fuel filter, air filter...the good stuff. I picked up the pancake pipe from Sean. I noticed while i was doing a check over on the car that the upper IC pipe was cocked funny at the intake throttle valve(or whatever vw calls it). I pulled the circlip off to find this.
The pipe itself (different car)
So i put it back in and of course i had a boost leak so i got it to seal for now going to find a new pipe this morning. Wish vw would do the good ol coupler and constant torque clamp but oh well. I got looking at the bottom ic pipe and the pancake pipe will flow much better need pick up some couplers before it can go on.
Anyone else have that upper boost pipe do this to them? I've read online it's happed to some others. I'm wondering since it could move in that throttle valves housing going from on boost to off boost if it was just worn those tabs going back and forth that little bit.
