  • Lotus esprit no more

As many of you know its been a messed up summer for me . but life seems to be on the way up . the wife and i are starting life over and bought a new house . so as a show of commitment i sold the lotus to furnish it . The car went for to cheap as always with me when i sell my prize possessions lol .but again to a great home . Now i have been given permission in the spring to buy a fairly substantial vehicle again but i am not 100% on what car i want .

The car has to be great for long distances , reliable , and fun , wow factor is huge for me , and max budget is around 70k

High on my list is a evora s , this will be probably the last opportunity i will ever have to own such a high end car so the decision is a biggie .

Old Countach + Long Distance/reliable/fun I don't think can go together haha! I like the Evora S idea Chris, something you don't see every day even in the big cities.

Excellent choice there, but I think the Evora S is the right choice for you. It is rare so you get the wow factor, FI so power is easy to make, and is great for grand touring. Plus it is inline with a brand you love. I don't think there is anything else out there that would offer you the same package in a car you would want to own.

Spending that much on a car for a toy has to give you a different feeling when you get behind the wheel. I could have gotten a brand new S5 or a CPO M3 coupe, but I went for a car with no warranty and possible huge repair bills because it was the car that made happy. There is no question that owning a Porsche was what I always wanted and I am glad I finally pulled the trigger. The chance at owning a Turbo 911 made it even better, headlamps and wheels aside.

I have always loved the F355's....... One day if the wife allows it I will buy one. There are a bunch in the states for under 70k.......

The Ferrari is awesome, but the cost to own one of those would be crazy compared to that sports Camry... Errr, I mean Evora

Congrats on the new house, I agree 911 Turbo not so much of a wow factor, the Lotus is indeed still a rare sight, anywhere really. I can offer another suggestion for something a bit different, Aston Martin Vantage?
