  • Best Locations?? For Photos & For Video. To record audio?

Hey was just wondering if members could share their opinions on the best spots in Calgary and other areas to take pictures of their Cars. Best Video location? Best spots to highlight the audio that spills out of the back of our cars? There are some great shots on this forum! Anybody got a secret underpass, tunnel or parkade that has great lighting or acoustics? Best walls or industrial areas? Best natural settings? Best time of day for those locations?

Polaroids will be accepted, this offer not available in Quebec. (just kidding but Quebec is a bit far)

For good video locations, you'd have to explain what you are trying to accomplish in the video. What kind of backgrounds are you looking for and what kind of videos will you be shooting? As for acoustics, there's really not many good tunnels in calgary. The overpasses in downtown are decent for sound. I suppose the chinook underground parkade would have some nice acoustics, but thats about all I can think of.

Looking for a variety of backgrounds. If industrial, ideally with open or abandoned feel, and open views from higher levels would be ideal. Parkades are great as long as they are relatively empty ( hard to get good audio with all the alarms going off) If urban then interesting vertical surfaces ie crumbling walls, rust, graffiti. Ideally with smooth surfaces for camera movement around the cars.

the goal is for video and images, to have some compositing templates built in Photoshop and Aftereffects to be able to overlay vehicle build stats onto repeatable camera movements and positions.

So anybody got the keys to an abandoned aircraft hanger, a crane and 4 or 5 dozen spray booms in assorted colors?? Anyone??
