No need to explain yourself and clutter this thread. An opinion is an opinion based on whoevers observations. Tools arent necessary to have an opinion.

sigh... seriously. that comment was not an attempt to bash anyone at all. sorry if it came across that way. i simply meant that dylans car is gorgeous and he is always saying that he wants to sell it for another car. im just trying to get a point across that dylans car is extremely nice and i do not want him to sell it.

i did not say he was lower than all the guys on air, i said he drives lower than all the guys driving on air (at thier driving ride height). and even if i am wrong and you measure ride heights, i still have more respect for guys super low on coils, than for guys on air. simple as that sean. this is coming from a guy who was almost as low as dylan when i was on coils, and who had air afterewards.

I agree that he does have a nice car, lets just leave it at that.

And you didn't know me when i had my last car when i was static. hit the subframe on the road every 20'. So i do know what its like, and i also know that i have less respect for static low guys because they are just wrecking their cars and they have no functionality

        Again all just opinions.

This is exciting. I was hoping for an all out flame war, give eurodrivers some interesting going on.

Thanks...? I guess, for saying my car is nice.

I think people that are static low nearly at bagged height deserve respect for that. But I also agree with Sean that it's ridiculous to ruin your car

            Is this really happening again?

Id say sell it. I know how much money it takes to make a 1.8T even remotely fast

Me too, it doesn't seem you're too attached to it so I'd say sell and move on as well.

I'd sell it too. Get a different car altogether.

hmm, did you ever run any logs prior to this? It sucks that you busted a piston/rod but stuff happens, I say fix it up and try again.

I think everyone's face was probably more like the second picture.

It's hard to tell. But the piston is sideways, but it's just because nothing is holding it in place. Cylinder walls are all intact. There's come light scoring on the walls and on the crankshaft...perfect motor for a stroker build *cough* Derek *cough*

The cylinder walls are actually intact??

Cylinders (pistons) usually cant rotate inside other cylinders (cylinder walls) without damaging one and/or the other.

PS Derek can have the crank from my 2.0 if you want to go stroker route? That's what i was saving it up for but plans changed

Yeah but it's broken and no longer really a cylinder (the actual piston)

                                Anyways, motor is out.

New pistons are cleaning up nicely
